John Bohan would agree that with the advent of social media platforms, a lot of companies are now starting to jump on the social media marketing bandwagon. While it is easy to get to the top of the search results pages by paying for page-1 sponsored link or by hiring a reputable SEO company, products, services, or companies will still have to depend on customer comments and reviews. With SEO, it’s not possible to address complaints or dissatisfaction right away, and this can be bad for a brand.

Promoting products and services through social media has its virtues. In addition to being an avenue to easily address customers’ concerns, social media can be used to easily promote a brand. For example, promoting a brand in Facebook is as easy as creating a page and asking people for “likes.” The more likes, the faster word about the brand will spread.

Although some companies tend to choose one over the other, John Bohan knows that more and more companies are now using both to optimize their online marketing strategies, using SEO to get to the top of the search results and social media to easily spread information about their brand.
